    This is not to say that films like this don't exist, but I've personally never seen anything like it. It seems there's a bit of a boom of animated stories told entirely without dialogue lately, and this one really did a good job of keeping a proper emotional through-line with expressive characters and a frankly beautiful art style. Lots of evocative imagery throughout thats further uplifted by an extremely well coordinated score. I dunno, go watch it for yourself.

    Remarkably good, incredibly thought-provoking to the point that I feel like I don't have the resources to give a critical judgement of it. Sebastian Stan, Adam Pearson, and Renate Reinsve all give masterclass performances in this, a huge part of the humor in this for me was seeing Edward/Guy completely seethe in quiet rage while Oswald gives him nothing but praise and encouragement. The last act had me covering my eyes in secondhand embarrassment like nothing else has, which is a genuine achievement. Overall, just a super compelling picture that I'll have to watch again at some point.

    Going to have to watch the first one as well as the more direct adaptations of Dracula because GOD this was really good.

    I can get easily swept up in a film if the tone is spot on, and it's rare nowadays for movies to go so far and excel on every department like Nosferatu did.
