Running time was a little long, and needed more sleaze, but holy crap I was here for the motorcycle and speed boat chases. I am amazed nobody was killed during the boat chase. Very unique movie, and a first for me with this director who looks like he had his very own trilogy of Dutch 80's raunch comedies. Also 2 count em 2 killer elevator films

Has Eli Roth FINALLY grown up?? I thought for sure this was going to be filled with his trademark frat bro fart humor, but wow, was I wrong. A well paced, serious, tense, gory, slasher with characters I actually cared about? I am truly thankful this exceeded all my expectations and can't wait for Part 2! 1 star removed from rating due to lack of nudity or sex (a must in every slasher no matter what).

What I assumed was going to be a dime a dozen by the numbers slasher flick ended up being quite a surprise. Very competently shot, with likeable characters, great gore, and very very lovely ladies that don't mind getting naked in order to fulfill all the things a slasher flick needs. also near the ends a couple nice homages to Friday The 13th films. Felt like I was watching an 80's era flick, which is exactly what this sub-genre should feel like. It's currently on Netflix streaming in glorious HD in case you don't feel like picking up the bluray.

A great original, modern horror movie that manages to nail metaphor and emotional social commentary while not being too intellectual. While taking place in modern day, the INCREDIBLE synth score and the suburban teenager plot made it feel like a lost Carpenter or Craven film from the '80's. Best blind purchase I have made in a long time.
