Just rewatched this and it’s straight into the top four. Love a film that can blur the lines like this, the writing, directing and acting were spot on. I didn’t think I’d see a better John Goodman character than Walter in The Big Lebowski but I was wrong. Consistently tense, funny and interesting not to mention it’s by the coen brothers and the closest thing I’ve seen to a David Lynch film that hasn’t been touched by David Lynch. Still completely it’s own thing, disregarded it the first time I saw it but I’m now realising how great it is. Plus Barton Fink mate.
