wowowowoow that was absolutely incredible and not what i expected in the slightest. so hilarious, raw, emotional, education AND beautiful! appreciated the symmetry in shots more than you can imagine and came away with a new outlook on ancestry very very powerful and moving and relatable (robbed of the many many more awards it deserved imo…) watch this now .

"Eat me, Sebastian! It's okay for guys like you and Court to fuck everyone. But when I do it, 1 get dumped for innocent little twits like Cecile.
God forbid, I exude confidence and enjoy sex.
Do you think I relish the fact that I have to act like Mary Sunshine 24/7 so I can be considered a lady? I'm the Marcia fucking Brady of the Upper East Side, and sometimes I want to kill myself. So there's your psychoanalysis, Dr. Freud. Now tell me, are you in... or are you out?"

honestly underwhelmed, a few raw scenes didn’t really make up for the lack of depth and meaning that could have been explored in this as it did have a lot of potential but definitely fell flat. other than that on a base level it was fun i just wish anora’s character was explored as the whole film felt quite cold
