    Kinda felt like several of Bong's films/main themes all mushed together (in a good way). A bit predictable and extremely unsubtle but just a lot of fun, and honestly dunks all over any recent American "blockbuster" offering. Sometimes I think this man has a better understanding of our own country's filmmaking than we do.

    Also love seeing Ruffalo continue his sniveling shitheel villain phase. More please.

    Still my favorite accidental masterpiece. It tries to say so many things and present so many ideas and, while it doesn't fully succeed in executing on any of them whatsoever, like all good sci-fi it still manages to accurately predict the next two decades of modern civilization. All that plus a soundtrack that goes hard as fuck and a handful of musical sequences that, to my taste, are about as close to cinematic perfection as you can get.
