It's strange how a movie can be so professionally shot and scored, but have such a mess of a script. My best guess is that Alec Tibaldi had the setting and the ending in mind, and then looked for a way to fill the time in between. The problem is that it doesn't work.
I'm not a writer, but I would have preferred a version that was somehow more like Leave No Trace.

Titane 2021
I loved Raw so much that I was worried I might be expecting too much and be disappointed, but that was not the case. In many ways this follow-up has the same energy, only more so. What a trip! I need to see it again to form a real opinion, but I'm in awe of the clarity of vision that Julia Ducournau has.
Also, this film is very funny, which not many people in the audience tonight seemed to be able to get on board with.
