Adolescence 2025
British Drama Television takes the cake once again.
May come back to this review once I digest but this truly has become a new favorite. Aside from the one take wonders, each performance in an ABSOLUTE KNOCKOUT. It pains me that the people who probably need to see this show are never going to.

I feel like I’m lowkey insulting Bong Joon Ho by saying this was an easy 7/10, but as a film itself like…yeah 7/10.
Just lots of character arcs that felt incomplete by the end, and the last 10 minutes went by way too fast. Maybe I need to read the book?
BUT I loved this cast (Rob Patt, Mark Ruff, and Toni C all own my heart) and I think the overall pacing was strong. THE CREEPERS ARE SO STINKIN CUTE!!!
So yeah. 7/10

Totally lost me halfway through an entirely too long and drawn out act 3 (which like yes I get character wise it’s the literal agony of sitting through this long night hunting for Ivan), and no intimacy coordinator is a YUCK for me.
BUT Mickey gave a knockout performance and really shows that Gen-Z/adjacent age actors can and should be taken seriously.
Also now I want hair tinsel.
