  Well I first saw this film only two years ago, but watching it now again i've taken and interpreted things and motifs from it in a different lens completely. The age difference between Elio and Oliver played a much larger role in my perception, with many of the scenes feeling more... claustrophobic? It felt a lot more uncomfortable being Elio's age right now and seeing him do things with a man much older than him. However, for all the criticisms…
