Dark Phoenix 2019
Though this film was much anticipated, it tended to fall short in many areas. There was less of Sophie Turner, who portrays the younger Jean Grey excellently, acting with the Dark Phoenix force and much more of her simply attempting to control her newfound powers, than the previews suggested. This retelling of the last hours of Jesus’ death is one of most moving pieces of filmography created to date. Whether you’re a Christian or not, this film can be appreciated for its ability to show Jesus as both the simple carpenter as well as showing him as the Messiah who underwent the worst of pains as he faced crucifixion.
