this was genuinely awful. the actors were clearly doing the best with what little they were given, the direction was perplexing at best and the plot was increasingly hard to follow.
a musical full of strange & off pitch songs … i cannot believe this was nominated for 13 oscars.
maybe i’m just not a big enough cinephile to appreciate it, but holy shit that was bad.
i will say that i was pleasantly surprised by selena though.
