A wonderful social commentary on a uniquely American phenomenon. Wall Street, the Pinnacle of success, becomes the mental asylum for self-reinforcing narcissism. Markers of social status are now symbols for their own sake. The movie is a perfect portrayal of what Karl Marx describes as the alienation from our species-being by the power of the capital.

Best Chinese Sci-Fi movie of all times, period. Well-balanced story with believable CGI, combined with many themes of institutional cooperation in contemporary international relations. A true masterpiece -- surely the storyline could've been clearer and some foreign acting could've been improved, but the three hours of adrenaline rush was well-deserved. Would watch it again, and again.
