2/3 on my How To Train Your Dragon series rewatch and the thing that aged the worst is that T.J. Miller is in these movies. Consistency is key with these movies and man they’re really hitting the spot. Narratively and thematically deeper, visually great even after all these years, and the world is just full of lots of lovable characters and critters. It’s delightful.

This movie is proof that family gatherings are actually claustrophobic nightmares. The only thing saving you is awkwardly smiling and laughing as you try to dodge any conversation with a guest. Feels very personal to the writer-director Emma Seligman after I did some research on her. Really great debut.

New COD zombies lore just dropped.

I mean this statement with the utmost praise and sincerity, but this movie is so stupid. The Monkey is the latest film from writer/director Oz Perkins, a stark departure from the cold, dreadful Longlegs. It’s commendable that Perkins leans full tilt into the ridiculousness of a wind up monkey causing Final Destination style deaths. The script and the plot are played very straight which leads to some genuinely hilarious moments involving stunted line delivery…
