There’s a reason why this film is one of Pixar’s best ever.
I just “watched” it in the car on a long family road trip. The experience of just listening to the voice acting brought home how great the script and pacing of this film is, how tight it is in its scenes and how amazing the voice acting is. Billy Crystal and John Goodman make such a great buddy picture pair.

Watched this one at the Gatesville, Texas “Last Picture Show” Drive-In movie.
I thought it was good, but not as good as the original. My favorite scene was the “panic attack” scene the main character Riley has late in the film. It felt viscerally real and was well done.
However, the movies “stakes” didn’t feel all that high, even in the external world, which ultimately made this into a largely uninspiring and forgettable film.
