  writing was lazy, not targeted to POC. i don’t care about making the movie seem more “accurate to the time and region”. its a no for me. if this many ppl feel genuinely uncomfortable with the dialogue then theres definitely some fixing that needs to be done. ESPECIALLY when it adds little depth to the characters. also, everyone that’s all up in everyone else’s negative reviews is just proving my point exactly 😂 this movie is just giving ppl a safe space to be nasty. if you wouldn’t excuse this in real life why would you excuse it in a movie that’s meant to be “realistic”.
