This will go down as one of my favorite movies that I had the pleasure of watching in the theater.

Absolutely loved this film. Going in, I had seen the 1922 Nosferatu so I had some background as to where it may go, but that's a silent film. I felt like this was very reminiscent of Eggers film, The Witch. The atmospheric terror and desaturated gloomy palette was back in full force!

    I didn't enjoy this film in the slightest. Pacing...wack. Script...wack. Acting...wack. Cinematography...very nice.

I didn't care for the actor who plays Owen. His voice irritated me. The premise was interesting at first, but it went down a lynchian path I did not care to go down.

Sometimes I'll just put on the scene of Heath Ledger singing on the bleachers if I need a quick pick-me-up.

Wow, what a visually unsettling film. I give them props for how they cut and shot this film. I felt some Excercism influences while watching. Where the movie fell flat for me was the writing. This director seems more interested in the visuals carrying the story than the story itself. I felt the same way after watching his other film, Grettle and Hansel. However, I enjoyed this one much more than that poo in a Tiffany box.
