what did I just watch? Felt like a video game more than a movie. Would have been a fun game but was not a great movie. Weirdly entertained but would not recommend.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire 2013
Seeing this in theaters in 2025 is the best thing that has happened to me. Suzanna Collins knew what she was doing when she wrote this book and Francis Lawrence knew how to make his debut in directing the hunger games franchise. The album for this movie is also such a gem. 10/10 nostalgic experience and made me appreciate this world all the more.

A true classic with an intriguing love triangle, a beautifully cozy soundtrack, and iconic lines that have stood the test of time. A lot of the charm comes from the film’s historical context. Truly a beacon of hope for its time being made in the middle of WWII. Only reason it’s not a 5 is because I couldn’t throw this on anytime. I’d have to be in the right mood.
