This became movie of the year within the first 20 minutes. I will never voluntarily listen to "California Dreaming" for the rest of my life, but I will watch this movie 50 more times.

The Wicker Man 1973
I don't think you can really call this a horror movie, but it does the cult commune plot so much better than anything else (I wish Midsommar had never been made) and it was a good watch with characters who felt very genuine and surprisingly uncynical.

Seeing all of the rave reviews for this movie and "Possum" has me wondering if I'm like a modern Siegfried, who is too stupid to understand good horror (fear) and is criticizing these movies for not being scary enough without understanding the real intricacies behind why they're considered so terrifying.
I remember this movie getting huge during the pandemic and the first ghost scene going viral - I was so scared of it that I didn't even watch the video…
