  “The Batman” puts the “Detective” back in “DC,” presenting a grounded and (more) intense take on the Caped Crusader.

  The exceptional ensemble cast strings you along for another trip to Gotham that deserves to be seen on the largest screen possible.

  RPatz kicks ass while being a broody and angsty version of Bruce Wayne, Zöe is bewildering as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, and you’ll buy that Paul Dano as The Riddler is an absolute sicko.

  Surprising fave? Colin Ferrell (under heavy prosthetics) provides some needed comic relief.
