Another perfect rating from me, and after seeing peers doc points for things being “overhyped”, or “over done” , all I can say is you simply do not get it.
The Substance brings an original concept, a women centered narrative, real tangible conflicts and 11/10 practical effects body horror.
I can’t help but see negative reactions to this movie as a way of saying “Meh, wasn’t badass enough for me”. Which is insane, considering the full GWAR level blood bath…
