I started out quite liking this film. Phoenix's performance was a really interesting interpretation of the historical figure. I decided it was Scott's direction that let me down. Instead of using the historical setting to draw parallels to the present, ourselves grappling with dark and expedient individuals borne from civic instability, Scott phoned it in. Poor Things 2023
A great coming-of-age tale! Very relatable and a cultural turning point for the expression of the crude, wonderful, grotesque and veraciously human. Production design and costumes were amazing. This was a really good film. This is the end of my review.
