  Love love loveee the insights on documentary filmmaking and the amount of extensive research a film like this takes.

  The campus arts lab is quite a place. Had the pleasure of hearing the process from Dir. Nick Deocampo himself courtesy of the arts dept. What a lovely Q&A session!

  First off, absolutely incredible. This rolls almost like a faithful adaptation of a novel or even a poem— enigmatic, and oozing of symbolic and even mythical-like material.

  In some aspects quite meditative and takes a bit more of its time in certain scenes, but still ramps up the pace when needed. And that fuzzy, dreamy atmosphere gluing the "look" of this film together. Definitely a looott to break down and interpret.

  Lastly, a big appreciation for Koji Yakusho! my favorite detective/policeman
