Crimson Peak 2015
The aesthetics and costumes… oh I feel so sad I didn’t watch it sooner! There’s always these movies where I just know I’m going to love them based on the vibes alone, and Crimson Peak had been one of these for a long while. Thankfully got to watch it while wistfully wishing I could see Nosferatu in theatres and was drawing a gothic romance with an ibuprofen. It’s a beautiful movie and is something I will regularly be rewatching.

Uh. Gonna be honest I still have no idea what this movie was about but perhaps I will one of these days. The theatre scene was very beautiful and I admire the visuals on it but beyond that I spent half the movie being so confused and overwhelmed and the other half spent realizing Richard Kind has a hot voice so I don’t know what that says about me…

General mixed feelings on this movie.
As I’m a sucker for beautiful scenery, costumes and fairytale settings, I was actually pretty interested in watching this! I’m not too big a fan of the lead actress, I think my enjoyment would’ve been more if the lead actress was anyone else.

Where the Wild Things Are 2009
I hold this film strongly in my heart as it was a movie I watched lots as a child.
I’ve always loved the costumes and sets, and I would check out as much as the behind the scenes content as I could because of how much I just loved everything about this movie.
While also having gorgeous visuals and such a bittersweet and mature story, the soundtrack has always stuck with me to where I still listen to music from…
