Mickey 17 2025
All I can say was that this film was NOT parasite and I’m glad. This was a straight up sci-fi comedy. Bon Joon Ho is quite good at making films that are satirical. I think back to his previous films such as Okja & The Barking Dog that Never Bites. Mickey 17 is filled with slapstick humor and sociopolitical commentary and this is apparent right from the get go. The casting was insanely good too. Robert Pattinson is so hot and I will die on that hill even though they put up the worst thumbnail image of him on the film’s Letterbox’d page…

I'm Still Here 2024
I did not expect to be so profoundly moved by the storytelling in this film. It is one of the best films I’ve ever seen - not an exaggeration. I want this to win best film at the Oscars this year, which is something I’ve said about some of the other nominations for best film this year as well. I suppose as I add more of the movies I’ve seen under my belt that are nominated for awards this year the more my opinion changes about what’s best. The visuals in the film are indelible in my mind and they will be for you too.
