  this movie has fed me up with groups of star-gazers getting invited to some remote mordern architecture compound with a mysterious host that has sinister intentions lurking beneath their extravegant hosting. Like, The Menu, Blink Twice, kind of Midsommer or Infinity Pool. Except most of those were writing there own stories, this one stole the location and the story points from many others lazy and bad. I did like the in-world music.

  best movie of the week, never was slow cracked some ribs from laughs and even with all that humour there were some genuinely surprising scare jumps. will rewatch many times me thinks.

  Ughh, whyyyy did they make a sequel???? And of Kubrick´s horror masterpiece nonethless....well, I admit when this film wasn´t banking of direct, shot-for-shot cliche references to the original (so not the first or last act) it was at least entertaining. Not good, but intriguing what kind of powers the shining could give. But everything else, especially the end, made me squirm with frustration. I think this bit was trying to bridge a steep, long bridge between Kubrick fans and Marvel…

  Pretentious, haughty, uber-critical. My type of film, and probably the best lead actress performance I've seen in at least the last 10 years. Can't wait to rewatch, see if this time I understand the final scene better since on first viewing I thought it was a dream.
