The Hobbit 1977
Gollum disses Bilbo by calling him "Attercop". Attercopus is an extinct genus of spider, so Gollum's insult is pointed given Bilbo's trickery. Bilbo then calls the spiders he encounters later by the same name, "Attercop". He calls them the name of an extinct spider as he fights them off with Sting, subtly adding to his threat by implying he will drive them to extinction.
