Never listen to the critics. So many viewers bemoan the lack of explicit political commentary and miss the point. The genius decision to put Texas and California in an alliance was not a ham-fisted generalization, it was an intentional juxtaposition to obscure political bias. The competing sides were not left and right, and we know nothing of why the factions started. Because that's not what the film is about. It's a film about war- a reminder that war can happen…

Uncut Gems 2019
The protagonist is so fun to root for and every actor delivers their character flawlessly. The pacing drags along but all can be forgiven in those final few seconds where the twist I never saw coming arrives without warning. Having your parlay hit doesn't come close to the adrenaline rush of this movie.
