One of my favourite films simply because it made me cry (unusual) and posed a moral quandary which I could not resolve (almost unheard of).
Bonus points for Alexander Desplat’s music, which was not quite as good as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows p. 1 & 2, but which nevertheless did it’s job of increasing the sad vibes of this movie (important).

Gotta love Natalie Portman saying “I’m the other Boleyn girl” in the first few minutes of the film so we know who the main character is.
Cause can you really be the main character of a Tudor film if you’re not one of Henry VIII’s wives?

Except it was actually good luck, in the end.
How we Scandinavians went from bloodcurdling wolf-pelt-wearing psychopaths to quiet little diplomats who can’t get through a workday without a cinnamon scroll is a mystery.
