I avoided titanic for 19 years, thinking, “I know the end” they fall in love, he dies, the ship sinks. Why watch it? Well, I finally watched it and I can’t even fathom a life had I not. Beautiful movie, stunning performances, and heart wrenching writing. Regardless of Jack and Rose’s love story, to see such a devastating historical event recreated so realistically has given new insight and sympathy. Fantastic film and worthy of all the praise it has gotten over the years. I haven’t felt that on edge in a while, especially since you know how it ends.

I am a huge fan of all things related to Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera (french and english content), so it was about time I watched this classic. From a cinematic point of view this is a wonderful film for its time, I love the sets and costumes; it's all very fantastical.
As someone who has consumed lots of media relating to the original novel, there are SOME things I would've loved to see that were changed for…
To be so honest the script was bad, the plot was bad, overall weird, but the acting was genuinely good. Like for the 90s, it's similar acting to what you'd expect from a show from that time. But it was still a very weird film. You go to your dad's funeral and people are being murdered but the following scene you're getting your freak on with two randos?
