They certainly arrived!!!
This movie is to linguistics as Annihilation is to biology and Interstellar is to theoretical physics. Phenomenal spin on an alien arrival plot based around a creative interpolation of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis (btw great foreshadowing in the convo between Louise and Ian regarding that hypothesis that I didn’t catch until the end). Also wonderful and heartbreaking commentary humanity, both in the way we love each other and the way we divide ourselves. Has some kinda low-hanging fruit…

Love Lies Bleeding 2024
Overall engaging story line with some plot holes that left me with more questions than I came in with, but I'd be lying if I said I was watching it for the plot. It's San Junipero for the queer and mentally ill, with a thing for muscle mommies.
