Very hard and repulsive to watch, and some of it annoyed me. Strong recommend tho.

Estilo superior, y un punto de vista interesante en la vida de los que están sujetos a vivir en violencia cuando se trata de amar.

There’s so much spirituality in this film, but only a few can fully feel it.

I understand why people might expect more to happen, but the essence of the story is always present — Julie’s seemingly unemotional and unresponsive behaviour shows how smart and aware she is regarding the consequences of speaking out the truth. Aftersun

    ★★★★★

I’ve always felt a deep connection with films about father-daughter relationships: Toni Erdmann, Interstellar, and Fathers & Daughters are my favourites; but the intimacy and nostalgia in Aftersun are incomparable.

I see the beauty of this film in its delicate display of parental affection and the dichotomy between Sophie’s joyful, innocent perspective and her dad’s unspoken pain. And, though heartbreaking, I love how the songs Losing my religion and Under Pressure perfectly match the affliction and Sophie’s blissful unawareness – all of this shown through fragmented memories, as if trying to piece together the complexity of someone’s emotional state when seen through pure eyes of innocence. It’s devastating.
