The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
I found it entertaining and a good mindless watch but overall the story was lacklustre- not that it needed to be overly complicated - and the characters while silly weren’t all that compelling.

This movie is such a beautiful portrayal of the journey that young queer people go through to accept themselves. Legitimately had me sobbing at the end, the main characters had so much life and personality and I cared so much about them. The side characters- although a bit on the charcture side of things at times - really did create a world and environment that I felt the main characters living in. The filming and directing style really pulled it all together. A beautiful watch all in all.
