  This was one of the first movies where I noticed that camera work was an actual thing. Certain scenes from this movie have been engraved in my head. It’s nostalgic, and also terrifying to me. The film came out in 2009. I remember seeing it in our local downtown theater on opening day. I was seven, meaning the creatures scared  the living daylights out of me and honestly have given me a little bit of ptsd.
