honestly so disappointed by this.
- what was the intent, what was the message? was ellen “freed” by embracing her “true nature” in the end? didn’t seem like it. especially since her end was narrated by franz while she gets a tragic ophelia-style shot. franz meanwhile then get a final christlike framing to end the film. who appears victorious in this film? my one consideration is maybe this final scene is supposed to telegraph that the true Vampire is actually…
