i typically don’t check my watch while watching a movie, but this time i found myself doing it quite a lot.
the film's premise, focusing on the education of afghan girls and their forced marriages, is promising. however, it fails to explore the topic in a way that keeps the audience engaged throughout. as a result, the movie feels lengthy and tiresome due to its weak execution.

overall, though, the film feels like a missed opportunity.
