I’m not really sure why this movie is taking such a beating. Even trying to look at the movie through super critical eyes, it’s nowhere close to being amongst the worst comic book movies ever made, let alone the worst of the X-Men movies. Yes, I can be overly optimistic when I watch movies, but you know what? Who cares. Life’s too short. So when a X-Men movie comes along that really hits the buttons I wanted pressed, then I’m…

Zatoichi and the Fugitives 1968
Like Zatoichi and the Chess Expert, this is another nearly four star entry (if I’m being honest, they both may get re-scored to that upon a rewatch). Zatoichi Challenged 1967
Why was Zatoichi such a dick to that kid?! It felt so out of character! There's genuinely no good reason for it and was honestly kind of off putting. The Last Duel 2021
It's frustrating that no one has shown up for this. Ridley Scott is out here at the age of 83, knocking out home runs with ease, and everyone seems to just shrug. The Last Duel, the first movie that Ridley Scott has coming out this year, is a brilliant story that is told in an ingenious way. The plot revolves around the rape of Marguerite de Carrouges played by Jodie Comer and it is broken into three chapters. The first…
