i first saw this around 1993 when i would have been 12ish. it felt like i discovered some ancient movie i shouldn't be watching. now i'm 43 and think that rotoscope looks cool as shit.

The Sixth Sense 1999
this was my first viewing because 26 years ago it was spoiled for me. great performances all around and although i would have taken some more ghosties the ones we did have were effective. watching willis in this role i did feel more empathetic toward the character because of his real-world health issues. imagine a world where m. night consistently puts out work like this; what a twist that would be.

Frankenstein 1931
8/31 outside of enjoying this film i'm also entertained by the stories of it's censorship. kansas wanted 32 scenes removed and other censorship boards took issue with the monster trying to float the farmer's daughter and henry's "blasphemous" dialogue. if time travel ever exists showing uptight people from the first half of the 1900s our movies should be in the top 5 of things to do.

The Invisible Man 1933
12/31 solid good time here and one of those movies that fuels daydreams of someone somewhere out there trying to do the impossible. like that irish man who was injecting semem in his arm to treat his chronic back pain. anyway this movie is overlooked and the character doesn't get the love shown to dracula, wolfman, frankenstein's monster, etc and that's unfortunate.
