  Another "wanted to like this more than I did" movie. I was expecting something with sharper edges, so the sweetness of the first half was a tonal mismatch for me. I also found some of the references and jokes kind of cringy/”not like the other girls" (love a good "your mom" joke though, so A+ for those).

  Bummed this turned out not to be for me. There were some deeply funny moments, especially from Ken, and I liked most of the design, but it felt flat and didn't hold my attention. The liberal feminism is too depressing to even mention, although I wasn't expecting anything radical so I don't hold that against the movie. 2.5* for Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, and the set design.
