An Extraordinary Cinematic Experience. This can be called as the Wall - E of the current generation. Breathtaking visuals, Lovable Characters and Mesmerizing music backed up by strong story. An intense body horror that comments on the bizzare beauty standards.
I am not a fan of body horror, infact this is one of the only body horror films I have seen since The Big Shave. The commentary on how you are on a constant battle with yourself to bring out the best version was interestingly established. A solid genre-film that is emotionally strong.
Vasan Bala's previous works were quirky and funny. I love Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota so much that I call I it India's reply to Deadpool. Monica O My Darling was also an enjoyable watch too but it made me wonder whether the director is capable of attempting something other than the quirky, Tarantino styled dark humour flicks.
