This film felt like a very warm hug to me, despite all the heroic incidents, what felt stood out to me was the relationship he shared with people he met and how it was written , from his fiance, his parents, to the fellow army officers. It felt so natural and well written

Honestly you can't afford to loose your attention while watching this!
This is surely a "How to make a visual comedy 101" for every film geek.Editing and camera movement simply conveys whatever it wants to the audience.Style and dialogue is another thing which elevates this movie, although sometimes it makes me feel cringe , overall it worked out really better!8/10 is my rating for now, may change after a rewatch
Ps- Edgar Wright would be the deadliest of all ex s if he was one among them :3
