I'm genuinely shocked at how good this movie was.
Numerous people I know have gone back to the theatres to see 'Wicked' a second, third, or even fourth time, and it's not hard to see why. This is musical fantasy at its best. Not only does 'Wicked' live up to the musical it's adapted from, it improves upon it in almost every way. Jon M. Chu takes FULL advantage of the massive runtime.

No movie with an 87-minute runtime should feel like it's too long, but that's exactly what 'The Headless Woman' manages to achieve.
Lucretia Martel has some good ideas buried in here: the social commentary in particular is stand-out. However, the best aspects of the film– the production design and cinematography– can't save a flawed narrative. Very little actually happens during the film's runtime, and what DOES happen is so drawn-out that the plot never gains momentum.

'The Marvels' is certainly one of the MCU's better entries to come out of its post-'Endgame' limbo. It's not exactly an Oscar darling, but it's a fun watch. The villain is laughably forgettable, but given that 'The Marvels' seems to be mostly focused on the three protagonists' relationships, I'm willing to overlook that flaw.
