There is zero consistency between the movies on how to kill the leprechaun, what its powers are, and its back story which makes it even funnier. The limericks in this one are probably the best ones. Whoever came up with them deserves a firm handshake. And of course, the being main character being bit by the leprechaun and slowly turning into one is epic…who knew they were like werewolves?

Leprechaun 2 1994
Again terrible and entertaining. The part where he bites off someone’s finger and says finger lickin good? Priceless.

The Monkey 2025
Rewatched it on Thursday and honestly…I think this film is good. It doesn’t take itself seriously which I think makes it fun. I do still think something is missing but I honestly don’t care. Will watch again.

Pet Sematary 1989
This is a solid Stephen King adaptation. It’s doesn’t stray too far from the novel which I appreciate. That being said there are things in the novel missing here that should have been in the movie. While I know not everything translates well from novel to film, I think Norma Crandall, Jud’s wife, is important to the story and should have been included. The casting was spot on even if the acting was a little rough at times. The atmosphere of the book is more effective than in the movie.
