  mescal underwhelming, haven’t found his transition from arthouse indie films to blockbusters to be a smooth one. ridley also did such minimal character development at the start of the film, just led with massive fight scenes, which was all well and good, but didn’t leave me rooting for any characters in the film. not a bad concept for a sequel and obviously difficult to live up to expectations, but feel like similarly to napoleon, this was all style no substance
