  Pretty much the same exact movie as Alien, but bigger, more James Cameron-y, and slightly worse. Also, Bill Paxton is the most generic man in the history of Hollywood (RIP).

  Really really enjoyed this movie and I can see why it’s revered as such a horror classic. The visuals make it seem like a much more contemporary movie than one made in 1979. The performances are stellar throughout, particularly Sigourney Weaver as Ripley. The climactic scene was a bit convoluted and confusing but that did not take away from the rest of the movie at all. A great example of creepy, eerie, atmospheric, body horror.

  I have loved every David Fincher piece I’ve ever watched, but zodiac did not have his typical atmospheric beauty or world building so the entire film left me wanting more. The mystery was compelling; and I really enjoyed Jake Gyllenhall’s and Mark Ruffalo’s characters, but it seemed to lack a lot of what usually make Fincher’s films magic.
