  God I felt so tense in that last scene. Really solid almost all around; it just didn't do anything interesting with that greatness vs humanity conflict.

  Such a good movie. The sisters are great; they’re  written and animated to be a convincing verisimilitude of real sisters. One the biggest strengths of the movie is how the spirits interact with the world. While they are definitely real in the world of the movie, their interactions with the other characters (and even the sisters to a lesser extent) are so small that they could be dismissed as a child’s imagination. Due to this the spirits have surely sparked the imaginations of countless of its children viewers. Also Catbus is one of the greatest character designs to make its way into a movie.

  Such a nice movie. Paddington Bear offers an optimistic view of the world that never loses its charm. The movie takes its time establishing what it needs to and it feels like everything has a great payoff. It’s entertaining throughout with many funny moments. I was wholly invested in the film, whether it was when I was worrying if Paddington could make the perfect marmalade or about the grander stakes in the movie.
