“I’ve had enough of this crime and punishment bollocks”
proclaimed Ray Winstone’s Gal, the main protagonist of this classic British crime belter, but it’s Ben Kingsley’s Don Logan that really steals the show here. A masterclass in childish relentless persuasion, spitting out line after line of memorable profanity. A personal favourite of mine after it being recommended by the old man a few years back. The ending struggles to keep up with the frantic pace set following Logan’s arrival, but still well well worth a watch.
