The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
Positives first, the animation was on point, soundtrack was on point and Luigi's ringtone is dope.
I'll admit I actually forgot for a while that Chris Pratt was playing Mario which in my eyes/ears means he did a decent job at being Mario.The references are a nice to have for the older audience and the film certainly doesn't get boring throughout the entire run time but...

(IMAX 40th Anniversary) this version of the film is an excellent way to experience the film. It's the original version of the film with the two agents holding rifles (changed to walkie talkies in 2002 remaster) and had the original practical effects including the cape of Elliott's Halloween costume not flapping in the wind in the first bike flight (in the iconic moon shot).
The sound system in IMAX is also amazing for listening to the soundtrack during the credits.
I wouldn't pay a premium for this experience but due to national cinema day the ticket was only £3 which I think is good value.
