Never in my life had I been scared by a horror movie ... until I saw The Blair Witch Project. It's a psychological horror, of course, so if you're looking for monsters or gore, turn around. To me that's what makes The Blair Witch Project so scary, is that you never see anything. As an audience member you only know what the characters know, you are kept just as in the dark as them and BELIEVE me, they are kept…
Beneath it's many layer of politics, ancient prophecies, and arms dealing exists one of the best science fiction comedies ever released. The Fifth Element has almost anything you could want out of a film, aliens, humor, Gary Oldman, space travel, a hot babe, and a high-speed chase with hover cars. There are so many things to take in, you'll be coming back for a rewatch in no time.
I don't think you can find a better film based off of a children's anime. The Digimon movie comes in three distinct parts (four if you're willing to so a search on Youtube), all just as funny and exciting as the last. It's got a phenomenal soundtrack and great animation. I'm sure you'll want to rewatch it again and again.
