Sooooo I watched this in the cinema at the start of year as it was released in a few cinemas in the UK! I feel like it was sooooo glossed over despite its cast (Jacob Elordi, Ayo Edebiri, Simon Rex and blink and you will miss it Earl Cave) with breakout star Talia Ryder.

I read afterwards a little about the movie, and was so unsurprised to see it was Directed by a cinematographer cause WOW! This film is shot…

Up till now, I never got round to watching Ponyo for whatever reason. Yet strangely as a kid I had this reoccurring dream that was eerily similar. Watching it now feels like revisiting that dream in the warmest of ways. I adored this film and I think it’s now one of my favs ever.

The whole section at the end where Ponyos mother asks Sosuke if he loves Ponyo even tho she used to be a fish and he says “I love all Ponyo” made me ball with tears

Feel like we don’t talk about this enough in general. Kristen Stewart maybe at her best EVER imo. Shot beautifully by Claire Mathon (Portrait of a lady on fire), especially the externals and scene in her old family home. I remember I saw this in the cinema and that 35mm was worth every penny. Plus that poster just goes insanely har and I JUST LOVE how EVIL it shows the royals to be

I upset my whole family by saying that Feathers McGraw was kinda…..handsome

Serious note I absolutely adored this film and all I could think about was that movie also feels like Aardman flexing their new found water animation skills and rightly so. I fully gasped when is saw the submarine submerge under the water it looked phenomenal. Hats off to the good folks down in Bristol for cooking up a corker 10/10 🫡
