Overall, there's lots to like in Shazam! - it's got a fun story, a great set of actors (all the kids are awesome), and it's a superhero film that doesn't take itself too seriously.
But, it takes so long to get there I almost checked out completely. The supervillain is so forgettable and one-dimensional that the best that he can do the whole film is mention the too-long setup scene at the start of the film. The introduction of the…
Take a jab and upper cut this latest entry on the ROCKY series that seems like it should be on the ropes but is really another entry in the heavyweight movie franchise of the world. The title fight should be ROCKY vs. Time, but using the groundwork of Rocky IV and CREED, this is a fantastic movie.

It's a beautiful film in the same graphics styles as the Disney "live action" remakes. Completely serviceable but nothing to write home about, even Kiera Knightly's performance felt uneven, and the motivations of the characters were heartless and as stiff as the tin soldiers.
Not really worth the price of adminission, but it's going to be fun Christmas Party background fodder when it drops on Netflix...errr.... Disney's untitled streaming service.
There's this odd "Steampunk Tomorrowland" feeling to me with the…
