The Eight Hundred 2020
The cinematography for a war movie was actually unmatched. Made me feel Chinese during the entire 147 minutes. Also refreshing to see a WWII movie that’s not just centered around Europe/USA, but shed light on the Second Sino-Japanese War, which often isn’t depicted as important. It really captured the atmosphere, tone, and vibe from beginning to end. From feelings of fear and hopelessness to anger, pride, and determination. 5 stars 🫡
